The multi-state event is happening tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5. Why should you get off your comfy couch for this event? Because you’ll be in the room with like-minded people, and there is nothing like the energy boost of surrounding yourself with people who care. You’ll also hear from people on the ground working daily to free Elder, AND you’ll have the opportunity to take action. Come join us!

How Is Elder Doing?
Elder has written, and released a public letter directed to his representatives. With Elder’s permission, we are sharing the letter as a video, with audio of Elder reading his letter.

Did You Know?
News outlets continue to report Elder’s story. Last week, AL.com ran this article, featuring Pastor Andy. This week, Channel 48 News out of Huntsville, AL interviewed a living room filled with members of our Alabama-based community.
With every piece of media coverage, community members report of conversations with people who “had no idea”. Telling Elder’s story over and over is one step towards getting Elder back home. You never know which person will be the final link to freedom.
We’ve highlighted this before. We’re highlighting it again. It’s important. Elder has a special status. Elder was granted Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status in September 2025, during the second Trump Administration. The SIJ was created by the U.S. Congress “to provide humanitarian protection for abused, neglected, or abandoned alien children eligible for long-term foster care.” It entitles any juvenile to apply for a green card (permanent residency) in the U.S.
Why highlight this again? Because Elder has this status, AND was granted this status during the second Trump administration. This is an important point to make in any communications or conversations, but especially with elected officials.

Everyone is suffering from donor fatigue, you say? Here’s a report from one of our Pennsylvania-based community members. While visiting a high school friend in Colorado, she talked of her work to get Elder released. The friend reached into her purse, pulled out cash and handed it to our community member, asking that she make sure the funds get to Elder. So yes, people are fatigued, but they still want to help, which often means they want to donate. Every time you talk about Elder’s case, there’s a possibility for change.
Our Community In Action
Our Alabama community is working nonstop to bring Elder home. Last week Mosaic Family Gadsden held an event featuring Pastor Beth, Pastor Andy and Ryan, the Mosaic Family intern who traveled to Louisiana to visit Elder. Once again, there was a great turnout, and this time with new people from the community who wanted to learn more about Elder and his case.
